Amy's sessions are created from her own journey of finding relief with massage from physical and emotional stress such as car accidents, loss of loved ones, and sports injuries. Her foundation of body wisdom is steeped in her experiences in movement and yoga.

As a college student in 1997, Amy discovered the benefits of yoga on the body, mind and spirit. However, it wasn't until 1999, when she took it upon herself to attend yoga classes regularly as a study in personal health and well being. At the same time, she was studying Tibetan Buddhism in depth for her B.A., as well as traveling extensively in India, Nepal and Tibet, studying meditation and cultural beliefs.

When she is not teaching yoga, practicing massage or attending enrichment workshops Amy spends time painting, and visiting family and friends.

One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. ~C.G. Jung

In 2004, Amy discovered the healing benefits of massage. She found massage to be the healing balm that creates opening for wisdom and health to come into the body spontaneously. Her passion in massage therapy is to hold the space for healing to flow and awaken the stagnant energies in a client's body that are the result of conscious or unconscious trauma. Thus allowing the client to feel more in harmony with the forces of gravity and aware of their posture at the end of the session. Simultaneously, chronic and acute stress dissipates and often allows client to feel grounded and emotionally at ease.
